It is a mindset of delayed gratification which employs the greatest discipline of will and resolution of mind. 

Though rarely preached now in the world of consumption economics and inflation, we must not forget that we live in a world built by our forefathers. Though they lived in a materially poorer world than we do today, most of them knew the virtue of living below their means and putting aside savings for a future rainy day.
